• Innovation in Health IT Feb. 6

    Science Systems and Applications, Inc. will host “Innovation in Health IT” discussion and breakfast at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Bethesda, Maryland, on Feb. 6.

    The four speakers — SSAI’s chief executive officer Dr. Shilpa Bahethi, Acting Director of NITAAC Ricky Clark, ATW Health Solutions founder, President and CEO Dr. Knitasha Washington and Paul Martin with the U.S. Government Services Administration Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, will discuss health IT advancements that stand to shape the industry’s future. Complimentary breakfast and parking are available.

    Each speaker has decades of experience in health, health services and health innovations that will contribute to the overall discussion of upcoming innovations and progress in healthcare technology and systems.

    Bahethi brings her experience as a visionary leader at the intersection of science, technology and health; Clark, a Navy veteran and acting director of the National Institute of Health (NIH) Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC), brings his 20 years of experience in management, administration, policy, contracting and logistics; Washington brings her experience in healthcare, healthcare consulting and research as well as her knowledge as a federal advisor and healthcare executive to inform the discussion; and Martin has overseen small business programs across multiple regions for more than 30 years and has extensive expertise in government contracting.

  • SSAI Named a Top 2024 Workplace by The Washington Post – 5 Years Running!

    The Washington Post selected Science Systems and Applications, Inc as one of the best places to work in the Washington D.C. area for the fifth consecutive year in its 11th annual "Top Workplaces" survey. The Post invited more than 8,800 area companies to participate and surveyed 421 of those companies. It selected the top companies based on the survey responses from more than 137,000 employees on criteria including employee development and innovation.   • SSAI to host NIH Panel Discussion Aug. 7

    Science Systems and Applications, Inc. will host an exclusive expert panel discussion at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Bethesda Washington DC from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 7.

    The panel “Health and Technology – Future Trends and Innovations” will include medical and business professionals who explore the intersection of the fore-mentioned subjects’ importance and rapid-changes facing the industry.

    Panel experts include: SSAI Chief Executive Officer and host Dr. Shilpa Bahethi; Deputy Director of the National Institute of Health (NIH) Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) Ricky Clark; Senior Vice President of Business Development at Bizzell US Alvie Johnson; Vice President of Health Care at the Dynanet Corporation Joey Pahira; and CEO and President of Gray Matters Technology Services Barbara A. Gray.

    Together, they will discuss: 
    • the current State of health and technology 
    • future trends in health technology 
    • technological innovations improving medicine and health services

  • SSAI awarded CMMI Level 3 for Development

    Science Systems and Applications Inc. (SSAI) is proud to announce that SSAI Government Services has attained Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level 3 for Development as of May 12, 2024.

    Sensible Process LLC was a third-party partner and observed SSAI during the appraisal process. This major development enables SSAI to work on complex computer programming projects and compete for government contracts that require high-reliability software. Furthermore, it means that SSAI’s work and processes meet the following criteria: 

    • received the highest form of third-party validation;
    • involved management in an established set of practices;  
    • dedicated to continuous improvement;
    • Produce great work that makes a difference.

    This appraisal affirms SSAI's contiued dedication to improving its performance, providing the highest quality products and services, and confirms SSAI's ability to excel in achieving project and organizational performance objectives.
